BG
Clips
Conceptually,
all movie clips at the timeline level are considered BG (background)
clips. Because in Scene Composition (SC) mode, each of these clips
is to serve as a "canvas" for composition of scene objects.
Depending on their purposes and attributes, BG clips are organized
into 3 groups: story
(clips), Generic
(clips), and User
(clips).
story (clips)
This
is the default tab space (of Asset Bin) appeared when you first enter
Compose section. This tab contains thumbnails that represent movie
clips re-purposed from the "Read" contents. They can be
dragged to the timeline, or to the preview window for editing and
preview. The 5 tags on the left denote housing spaces for story clips
from Act 1 through Act 5. Clicking on each tag will bring you to the
respective space for the designated Act. In current Comixware release,
only clips of the first tag (temporarily assigned for Act 5) are available.
The rest of tag spaces are reserved for clips from other acts that
are to be upgraded in the future.
On some
of 'story' thumbnails you see a tiny blue square in their upper left
corner. This is to indicate that these are 'loopable' clips. A loopable
clip means, whether it's of static or animated nature, that it can
be repeated continuously as a "loop" without interruption
in its movement (or non-movement). You can "loop" such a
clip to desired length using "To Cycle" command from the
Sene Length
menu in SC mode. This is useful for prolonging dialog sequence, for
cycling action or for overall timing adjustment.
