PLAY button
The
text "PLAY" button (capsule shaped at the left) is designated for playing
back always from the beginning of a given movie (scene 1). This full playback
mode includes a 'title' and an 'ending' screens. This playback can be paused at
anytime by clicking the "PLAY/PAUSE" button or by simply clicking on
a new scene from the timeline.
The
Play tab on the top horizontal Menu has the same function as the PLAY button.
Both are to play the movie from the first scene with 'title'.
The
title screen shows the name of the movie and the name of its author. If you don't
enter an author name when you save your movie, that name will be default to your
user ID as you registered for your Comixware package.
PLAY/PAUSE
button
The
symbol "play/pause" button (center round shaped) is a
dual mode toggle button; it's a PLAY button when the timeline is
stopped, and it's a PAUSE button when timeline is being playback.
The PLAY mode starts the playback from the current location of the
Playhead.
You can use this button to play from any scene in the timeline by
first selecting a scene (a white box around the thumbnail indicates
the scene is being selected) and then clicking PLAY/PAUSE button
to start the playback from that scene. This playback mode does not
include a 'title' screen.
Note
that when you pause the playback with PLAY/PAUSE button, the paused
scene will always jump to the center screen position of the timeline.
This is designed to ensure you a sense of whereabouts (especially
in a lengthy timeline) by always bringing the relevant scene in
view. It is both a measure of reference and a feature for quick
accessibility.
RESET
button
Unlike
in other sections (Compose, Save and Gallery), there is not an "empty"
state of Timeline in Play section. So if you click RESET button in Play, Comixware
will send you back to the Compose section with a brand new empty Timeline. This
is a 'start all over' button. Make sure you save your work from the Timeline before
you Reset it!
