PLAY
General
This is the
screening room of Comixware. The two main interface elements here are the Playback
Screen and the Timeline Strip. In combining the two, Comixware's Play function
is unique in such a way that enables user not only to watch a movie passively
but also to interact with it proactively during playback. Because all scroll and
search functions of the Timeline are present and available to user at all time.
That means, during playback you can scroll, jump, or search the timeline any way
you want just like when it's stationary. And not only can you pause the playback
'at' the current scene but also can you pause 'to' a chosen scene any place in
the Timeline, anytime.
Playback
Screen
The
purpose and function of Playback Screen is self-evident. It is used for playing,
reviewing or searching the movie currently in the Timeline. Whether the movie
is locally created (from the Compose or Save section) or remotely downloaded (from
the Gallery), this is the screen where all the pictures and sound come to live.
Timeline
Strip
While
the Playback Screen is where all actions are, the Timeline Strip is where all
those actions are staged from. In this part of the manual we shall concentrate
on the tools and controls of the Timeline that are used primarily for the Play
function. For an overview of Timeline function please read the Timeline
section in the Compose chapter.
